ASAMA sponsors numerous activities and events. Including special sport art exhibitions, youth sport art shows and competitions, loans of sport art exhibits, and much more.

One of the most exciting ASAMA activities is the Awards of Sport Program. A Tribute to the Artist and the Athlete recognizes outstanding performances of athletes and contributions to the world of sport by selected leaders, coaches, administrators, athletes and artists. Previous winners include: Michael Jordan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Howard Cosell, George Bush, Cristobal Gabarron and Hans Erni.

As part of the Awards of Sport Program, ASAMA names a Sport Artist of the Year and sponsors a Sport Artist of the Year Art Show. These shows are usually held in the beginning of each year with the artist in attendance.

ASAMA also sponsors an annual Youth Sport Art Show for students in Mobile and Baldwin Counties in Alabama and an International Youth Sport Art Show open to youth around the world.
